VARIANT II Hemoglobin Testing System - From Bio-rad

The VARIANT™ II is a fully automated analyzer that requires no sample preparation and very little hands on time by the operator. The VARIANT II front end accepts bar-coded tubes, reads the barcode, and injects the sample into the chromatography station for analysis. The results are processed by Bio-Rad's CDM (Clinical Data Management). CDM can be interfaced to the laboratory information system, for real time data transmission and superior data management capabilities. Bio-Rad provides complete assay kits for the analysis of HbA_1c and Beta-thalassemia on the VARIANT II system.
